Engine belt specialist Dayco has just
released a new range of ATV engine
belts, while also expanding its range of
scooter belts.
Dayco Australia has released three
ATV engine belt products to suit specific
ATV use, from ultra-high-performance
off-road racing through to general highperformance
uses through to agricultural
and recreational outdoor use. In all, 48
ATV part numbers have been released,
covering the vast majority of these
vehicles currently in use in Australia.
The jewel in the crown of Dayco’s
new ATV engine belt product range is
the Dayco XTX (Extreme Torque) engine
belt. Dayco says the XTX belt represents
the highest quality and ultra-durable
replacement ATV engine belt currently
available. Manufactured at Dayco’s
high-tech manufacturing facility in Italy,
these revolutionary new belts have been
engineered to suit monster machines
powered by engines of 800cc and above.
With specially formulated hightemperature
Neoprene along with the
highest level of Aramid fibre loading
available during the manufacturing
process, Dayco says these XTX ATV belts
deliver superb performance for the most
aggressive and rigorous of ATV riders.
According to Dayco, the advantages
of fitting a Dayco XTX ATV engine belt
include faster and more consistent
throttle response at high speeds,
quicker throttle response during midspeed
acceleration, greater secondary

reduction during the highest levels of
torque demands, more responsive engine

The Dayco HPX (High Performance
Extreme) ATV engine belt has been
designed to dominate any type of terrain
without throttle response compromises.
Dayco says this belt has also been
proven to run cooler and provide a longer
operating life than competing products.
The third and final new Dayco ATV
engine belt is the Dayco HP (High
Performance) ATV belt, designed for
use on ATVs, golf carts and agricultural
utility vehicles. Dayco says this base-level
belt offers superior strength, enhanced
dimensional integrity and stability for a
long and reliable service life.
Dayco Australia is also pleased to
advise of the continued growth of its
scooter engine belt range, which now
includes 43 part numbers. Dayco says
its Power Plus Scooter belt features
Aramid fibre inserts that provide high
thermal stability for reduced elongation,
particularly when starting. These design
inclusions also ensure resistance to wear
that is twice as high as that of polyester
engine belts.

High-performing seals
SKF seal kits for motorcycle forks consist
of a triple-lip oil seal and a wiper double-lip
seal developed to achieve superior sealing
performance and also reduce sticktion.
As a result of SKF’s extensive experience
in the design and material development
of seals for suspension systems, it has
developed a new self-lubricating compound.
The design has proven to offer less sticktion
than any other seal on the market – SKF
says the performance characteristics of the
seals made from this compound enable them
to keep oil in and contaminants out of the
fork, while virtually eliminating stick-slip and
improving the life of the seals between oil
changes.
Most sizes are available for road bikes as
well as dirt bikes.
