SAKS DIRECT & FASHION FIX (www.saks.com) MERCHANDISE
Saks Direct, saks.com or Fashion Fix vendor partners - Compliance requirements and responsibilities will
remain consistent with the guidelines provided in this manual (with exception to ticket and hanger
requirements outlined on pages 27) for all Saks Fifth Avenue locations. Our objective is to receive
merchandise from our vendors ready to be processed, allowing the merchandise to move expeditiously through the
pick/pack/ship process for direct shipment to Saks Direct customers. Saks Direct Fulfillment Center is store #689
and is located in the Saks Direct Distribution Center in Lavergne, Tennessee.
Effective July 2, 2012, all shipments intended for Saks Direct / saks.com / Fashion Fix must be shipped to the
new DC location exclusively for Saks Direct located in Lavergne, Tennessee. Please see page 64 for DC
address. The store number will remain as 689.
SAKS DIRECT & FASHION FIX – Photo Samples Matching Merchandise Shipped
Delivering exactly what is advertised on Saks.com is paramount to servicing our customers and maintaining a
quality shopping experience. Often it is a specific detail that entices the customer to purchase your product; a
unique button, contrast stitching, a belt. As such, when the product in hand is even slightly different from the one
seen on Saks.com, our customers return the product saying, “This is not what I ordered from Saks.com”.
To set the standard, Saks expects advertising samples to be provided to the buying office as per the agreed specified
date. If any change is made to the product, your company must immediately notify the Saks Direct buyer and supply
him/her with a corrected sample.

SAKS FIFTH AVENUE SEWN-IN WOVEN LABELS
Our Saks Fifth Avenue buyer will communicate to their vendor if SFA sewn-in woven labels are required. It is the
vendor’s responsibility to obtain these labels. Do not ship without these labels. No substitute labels are allowed. Any
deviation from these instructions will be assessed a handling charge against the vendor for extra handling or
administrative expense incurred due to not using Saks Fifth Avenue labels. There is no formal placement guide for
Full-Line merchandise. We expect vendors to adhere to Federal & State regulations as well as current industry

FUR LABELING ACT
Effective March 1, 2011 Saks will require that all fur and faux fur garments and accessories contain a label with the
information required by the Fur Product Labeling Act (“Act”), regardless of the amount or value of the fur in
each garment or of the manufacturer’s selling price.
This new requirement applies to all fur and faux-fur garments and accessories (excluding footwear), which included
Men’s, Women’s, and Children’s outerwear, accessories (such as scarves, shawls, and gloves), and hats. This means
that the label on those products sold to Saks after March 1, 2011, must contain all of the required labeling elements
of the Act, including but not limited to, the following:
� For fur products, the animal name, in accordance with the Fur Products Name Guide
� The country of origin for imported products (including the country of origin for imported furs
made into fur products in the U.S.)
� Even if the adjective form of the country name is used with the animal name, the origin must be
added separately, preceded by the words “Fur Origin” (for example, “Fur Origin: Russia)
