Course description<br />

The course involves lectures,<br />

workshops, tutorials and lesson<br />

observations. You must have<br />

access to a mentor in the<br />

workplace who can offer support<br />

during the qualification. Three<br />

lesson observations will be<br />

undertaken by a course tutor, and<br />

two by your mentor or a subject<br />

specialist in your area of teaching.<br />

Curriculum Development for<br />

Within these modules, you will<br />

also cover core competencies<br />

including ILT, Language, Literacy<br />

and Numeracy.<br />

ASSESSMENT<br />

Assessment is through<br />

assignments, reports,<br />

presentations, evaluative and<br />

reflective accounts of professional<br />

practice, portfolio of evidence of<br />

teaching practice, plus 150 hours<br />

paid teaching or training<br />

employment within the Lifelong<br />

Learning sector, over the two years<br />

of the programme.<br />
