This course is for people who are<br />

new to the role of learning and<br />

development, or working in a<br />

support role. You might be<br />

responsible for the design,<br />

delivery or management of<br />

learning and development<br />

activities, an employed or self<br />

employed consultant, or someone<br />

looking to further your career<br />

with a professional qualification.<br />

How will this course help me and<br />

my organisation<br />

This course will provide students<br />

with an in-depth look at the role<br />

and organisational context of<br />

learning and development. It is<br />

highly practical and will help<br />

improve your work performance,<br />

knowledge, skills and personal<br />

development. You will also be able<br />

to benchmark and network<br />

activities with your peer group.<br />

Course description<br />

Tuition is provided by experienced<br />

practitioners who are either<br />

Chartered Members or Fellows of<br />

the CIPD.<br />

Assessment<br />

There are no formal traditional<br />

examinations. You will need to<br />

demonstrate your competence in<br />

a variety ways for each module<br />

through work-based evidence, the<br />

completion of assignments and<br />

presentations, and continuous<br />

personal development.<br />

Entry requirements<br />

Acceptance onto the course is<br />

subject to an interview by a<br />

member of the CIPD team. You<br />

will also need access to an<br />

organisation’s training or learning<br />

and development function.<br />
