will stay with them and will create interest about Iran and its culture and traditions. They will learn
more advanced communicative skills in the three modes of communication. The program will
integrate the five C’s of the national standards and will be based on best instructional practices and
effective assessment tools. At the end of the program, students will learn about culturally appropriate
ways of communicating with others in familiar everyday life situations. They will also be able to
describe and discuss, orally and in writing, Persian wedding customs and traditions. Furthermore,
students will be able to comprehend and respond to selected print and non-print resources about the
topics studied.
