Measuring<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> c<strong>on</strong>tainer is detained by a cylinder in order to<br />

measure it. A vertical cylinder <str<strong>on</strong>g>has</str<strong>on</strong>g> a measuring <str<strong>on</strong>g>devi</str<strong>on</strong>g>ce<br />

attached. A pressure regulator limits <strong>the</strong> force exerted<br />

<strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> c<strong>on</strong>tainer.<br />

In <strong>the</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>HAS</str<strong>on</strong>g>-205 stati<strong>on</strong>, <strong>the</strong> height measurement is<br />

carried out using a linear encoder. In <strong>the</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>HAS</str<strong>on</strong>g>-206<br />

stati<strong>on</strong> this measurement is taken using a linear<br />

potentiometer which generates an analogue<br />

measurement in proporti<strong>on</strong> to <strong>the</strong> displacement.<br />

Buffer.<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> two stati<strong>on</strong>s have a secti<strong>on</strong> of additi<strong>on</strong>al belt<br />

which acts as a buffer, to free <strong>the</strong> traffic from <strong>the</strong> main<br />

belt. Two cylinders c<strong>on</strong>trol <strong>the</strong> passage of <strong>the</strong><br />

c<strong>on</strong>tainers to <strong>the</strong> measurement <str<strong>on</strong>g>system</str<strong>on</strong>g>. In this module<br />

<strong>the</strong>y also eject <strong>the</strong> c<strong>on</strong>tainers c<strong>on</strong>sidered to be<br />

err<strong>on</strong>eous.<br />

C<strong>on</strong>veyer belt.<br />

Each stati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>has</str<strong>on</strong>g> a transfer secti<strong>on</strong> as a part of <strong>the</strong><br />

AMHS (Automated Material Handling System),<br />

actuated by a c<strong>on</strong>tinuous current motor.<br />

Each secti<strong>on</strong> includes a series of sensors and cylinders<br />

which c<strong>on</strong>trol <strong>the</strong> inflow of <strong>the</strong> c<strong>on</strong>tainers, transfer <strong>the</strong><br />

c<strong>on</strong>tainers to <strong>the</strong> additi<strong>on</strong>al buffer and detect queues<br />

(giving <strong>the</strong> order to paralyze <strong>the</strong> extracti<strong>on</strong> of more<br />

c<strong>on</strong>tainers).<br />
