A <strong>system</strong> with infinite possibilities!
<strong>The</strong> station is compri<strong>sed</strong> of all the following functional blocks:
Feeding of containers
<strong>The</strong> containers are stored in a gravity feeder with a
capacity for 36 units distributed in four columns. Two
barrier type photocells detect the minimum level and
absence of containers in the feeder. A double acting
cylinder carries out the extraction function of the feeder
container.
Displacement of the containers
Various pneumatic actuators transfer the containers to
the conveyer belt: one actuator allows horizontal
movement; another vertical movement and a third
rotates 90º. <strong>The</strong> container is held using a platform with
two telescopic vacuum pads.
In the event that the bar code reading (BCR) indicates
that the container is incorrect, it will be ejected to a
container. If correct, it will be moved to the belt which
will take it to the next station.
Conveyer belt.
Each station <strong>has</strong> a transfer section as a part of the
AMHS (Automated Material Handling System),
actuated by a continuous current motor.
Each section includes a capacitive detector that
indicates the presence of a container at the end of the
belt and detects queues. <strong>The</strong>re is also a cylinder which
detains the containers if the station is occupied.
TROUB-<strong>200</strong>
This station <strong>has</strong> a <strong>system</strong> for the diagnosis and repair
of breakdowns, TROUB-<strong>200</strong>, which generates up to 16
different malfunctions which the student <strong>has</strong> to detect.
