latest developments and policies that<br />
strengthen the industry.<br />

• Deputy Minister was invited by the Chief<br />
Minister <strong>of</strong> Guernsey, to explore and<br />

and Guernsey.<br />
• Invited to London by the International<br />
Centre for <strong>Tourism</strong> and Hospitality<br />
Research (ICTHR), to give a keynote<br />
address to the Conference on<br />
Responsible <strong>Tourism</strong>.<br />

• The Deputy Minister was invited to the first<br />
Pan-African conference on “Sustainable<br />
<strong>Tourism</strong> Management in African National<br />
Parks and Protected Areas: Challenges<br />
and Opportunities” organised by UNWTO<br />
and the Ministry <strong>of</strong> Natural Resources and<br />
<strong>Tourism</strong> <strong>of</strong> the United Republic <strong>of</strong><br />
Tanzania held in Arusha, Tanzania.<br />
• Invited by the SA Conventions Bureau to<br />
attend the EIBTM which is on its 25 th<br />
year <strong>of</strong> existence. The Global Meeting<br />
and Events Expo (EIBTM) is one <strong>of</strong> the<br />
important international platforms. The<br />
event delivers three days <strong>of</strong> focused<br />
access to a dynamic business<br />
environment, thought provoking<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essional education and business<br />
networks for all attendees.<br />
