It was founded in 1914. BSPU is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the country. Thanks
to historically developed traditions, academism and openness are combined here. In 98 years of the full
and rich history the university got high reputation, became a leading higher educational institution of a
pedagogical profile in a national education system of Republic of Belarus. Prominent scientists and the
teachers, known schools of sciences and the centers, high level of ethics of the professional and
interpersonal relations, continuity of traditions and possibility of transfer of wide scientific,
pedagogical and life experience to new generations – all this BSPU today.
