The university was founded in 1973. Mogilev State Foodstuffs University is the only higher education
institution in Belarus that trains engineers, mechanical engineers and economists for the food
processing and chemical industries. It provides academic training for specialists of the first level of
higher education in 22 specialties. There are 10 specialties at graduate, postgraduate and PhD schools.
The Council on doctoral thesis defense was open. The Department of Professional and Retraining
works at the University. It carries out retraining of experts with higher education on 9 specialties of an
economic and technological profile and carries out short-term advanced training courses.
