The university was founded in 1973. Mogilev State Foodstuffs University is the only higher education<br />

institution in Belarus that trains engineers, mechanical engineers and economists for the food<br />

processing and chemical industries. It provides academic training for specialists of the first level of<br />

higher education in 22 specialties. There are 10 specialties at graduate, postgraduate and PhD schools.<br />

The Council on doctoral thesis defense was open. The Department of Professional and Retraining<br />

works at the University. It carries out retraining of experts with higher education on 9 specialties of an<br />

economic and technological profile and carries out short-term advanced training courses.<br />
