The structure of the University consists of seven academic departments: automotives, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, economics, electrical engineering, department of education by correspondence, preliminary training and career counseling, as well as engineering and economics faculty, which educates students according to the standards of educational programs of Russian Federation. The University also includes such academic establishments as the Department of Professional and Retraining, the College of Architecture and Construction and a vocational school. At the present time, the University s the only one that obtains a status of an inter-state educational institution, which at the same time is under a supervision of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, as well as a Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation.
