of 9.8510×10 −4 , see Fig. 4.19. This behaviour of the wave is observed <strong>for</strong> long<br />

times as shown in Fig. 4.20.<br />

The examples in this chapter suggest that the <strong>model</strong> proposed in Chapter 2<br />

can be implemented numerically and that its basic qualitative properties are well<br />

captured by the numerical solutions.<br />
