The 22 nd Annual <strong>Military</strong> <strong>Intelligence</strong> (MI) Corps Hall <strong>of</strong> Fame Induction Ceremony was held at Fort<br />

Huachuca on 26 June 2008. Including this year’s seven inductees, only 217 MI pr<strong>of</strong>essionals have been<br />

selected for membership into the Hall <strong>of</strong> Fame. The selection process is deliberate and thorough. Each<br />

nomination is judged by a board <strong>of</strong> active and retired senior <strong>of</strong>ficers, noncommissioned <strong>of</strong>ficers, and pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

MI civilians.<br />

The 2009 inductees are: Major General Robert A. Harding (U.S. Army, Retired); Major General William<br />

E. Harmon (U.S. Army, Retired); Brigadier General Roy M. Strom (U.S. Army, Retired); Chief Warrant<br />

Officer Five Wallace S. Price (U.S. Army, Retired); Chief Warrant Officer Three Doris I. Allen (U.S. Army,<br />

Retired); Command Sergeant Major Odell Williams (U.S. Army, Retired, Deceased); and Command<br />

Sergeant Major Ronald D. Wright (U.S. Army, Retired)<br />

Major General Robert A. Harding, (U.S. Army, Retired)<br />

Major General Robert A. Harding is a native <strong>of</strong> New York City (NYC). He was commissioned as<br />

a second lieutenant from the Officer Candidate School, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, in April 1969. From<br />

September 1969 to April 1971, then Second Lieutenant Harding conducted Counterintelligence (CI) investigations<br />

and operations with the 108 th MI Group in NYC. He left New York to command the Inchon<br />

and Uijongbu Field Offices in Korea. He concluded<br />

his initial assignment for the 501 st MI Group in<br />

May 1972. Captain Harding then assumed command<br />

<strong>of</strong> Headquarters Company, 1 st MI Battalion<br />

at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.<br />

In early 1975, CPT Harding was assigned to the<br />

Defense <strong>Intelligence</strong> Agency (DIA) in the Pentagon<br />

as the strategic analyst for Korea, where he served<br />

until October 1978. Following this assignment,<br />

he served first as the S2 <strong>of</strong> the 1 st Battalion, 59 th<br />

Air Defense Artillery, 8 th Mechanized Infantry<br />

Division, and then as the S2 for the 1 st Brigade, 8 th<br />

Mechanized Infantry Division. While serving as the<br />

Brigade <strong>Intelligence</strong> Officer, CPT Harding was promoted<br />

to the rank <strong>of</strong> Major. Returning stateside,<br />

he was assigned as the <strong>Pr<strong>of</strong>essional</strong> Development<br />

Officer, U.S. Army <strong>Military</strong> Personnel Center,<br />

Alexandria, Virginia. Approximately two years later,<br />

he would report as a student to the Armed Forces<br />

Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia. Upon his graduation<br />

in June 1983, MAJ Harding assumed the duties<br />

as the Executive Officer, Army CI Directorate<br />

in the Pentagon. In October 1985, he moved to the<br />
