CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY MF 5.3 Cyclone Contingency Plan CY 101 Author Chief Executive Officer Disclosure of Any Interest Nil Background The Cyclone Contingency Plan for the maritime facility at Denham has not been updated since December 2004. Comment The current (December 2004) Cyclone Contingency Plan is attached. Members are requested to peruse the Plan and note any amendments/additions required. Legal Implications Nil. Policy Implications Nil. Financial Implications Nil. Strategic Implications Nil. Recommendation That the Denham Marine Facilities Management Committee recommends to Council that Council amend the Cyclone Contingency for the Maritime Facility at Denham to include Department of Planning and Infrastructure’s alterations. Voting Requirements Simple Majority Required. Date of Report 24 November 2006 The Chief Executive Officer advised the amendments he had noted were mainly in the data directory and date changes to reflect current plan and could not comment on technical data within plan. Mr N Grundy and Mr A Tansey advised that this technical data could be included from the newly amended and updated Carnarvon Cyclone Contingency Plan. Re - Agreement - Extension and Variation of Sub-Lease - Lot 302 of Reserve 38444 Clause 7 of the above Agreement which was stamped on the eleventh of February 2005 grants an option of a further term to this Agreement. The length of the Option Term is defined in Item 5 of The Schedule which forms part of the Agreement. The Agreement states that the Sub-Lessee (Oregon Nominees Pty Ltd) must give to the Sub-Lessor (Shire of Shark Bay) at least 3 months notice if it wished this further term to be granted. The existing term is due to expire on 31 March 2007. On behalf of Oregon Nominees Pty Ltd I wish to apply for that further term as defined in the Agreement to be granted. Please advise what, if any, further requirements you may have of Oregon Nominees Pty Ltd to allow this option period to be granted and whether the Shark Bay Shire are able to offer a further option for an extension of the new term. Now is the time to send a letter advising of the work that needs to be completed in the fuel facility area stating that these matters need to be attended to before new lease agreement is signed. MF 7.2 Tourism WA - Landbank - Jetty Costing MA 100 Mr N Grundy advised that a letter had been received from the Tourism WA Development - Landbank asking about the costing for a jetty in the new subdivision area that is currently being planned. The Chief Executive Officer commented that there had been no mention of this to Council at the last meeting. All that was proposed was a boardwalk, café and roadworks in regard to the plans being proposed by Tourism WA - Landbank for the “Potters” block on Stella Rowley Drive. MF 8.0 MF 8.1 MF 9.0 NEXT MEETING The next meeting of the Denham Marine Facilities Management Committee will be held in the Meeting Room in the Shire Office, before the budget process is closed, on a date to be decided.
