unit employees. The CCE will be provided time during normal working hours to hold<br />

each meeting. The main goal of the CCE will be to research and recommend courses<br />

of instruction at colleges, business schools and adult education centers that will directly<br />

benefit them in their current capacity as Deputy <strong>Clerk</strong>s. A list of acceptable courses<br />

will be created and updated as needed.<br />

Section 15.5 Education Incentive Days<br />

Any employee who successfully completes a course of study approved by the CCE<br />

shall receive two Education Incentive Days (EID’s). An EID shall be defined as one<br />

normal work day. An EID shall be used in the same or subsequent calendar year in<br />

which it was accrued. In no case will an employee be entitled to “cash out” the EID or<br />

in any way convert the day to money for the employee.<br />

ARTICLE XVI<br />

EVALUATIONS<br />

Section 16.1 Informal Conferences<br />

The Union and the Employer agree that periodic informal evaluation conferences<br />

between the employee and his/her supervisor to discuss work performance, job satisfaction,<br />

work-related problems and the work environment may be helpful. If work performance<br />

problems are identified, the supervisor shall, whenever possible, offer<br />

constructive suggestions and attempt to resolve the problem.<br />

Section 16.2 Written Evaluations<br />

The Employer shall prepare written evaluations on all employees who are serving<br />

any probationary period. In addition, the Employer may prepare periodic evaluations<br />

on continuing employees.<br />

Written evaluations shall be prepared by the employee’s supervisor who is outside<br />

of the bargaining unit and who either has first hand knowledge of the employee’s work<br />

or has discussed and received recommendations from someone who does. The evaluations<br />

shall be limited to the employee’s performance of the duties assigned and factors<br />

related thereto. The evaluations shall be discussed with the employee and the employee<br />

shall be given a copy immediately after completion and shall sign the evaluation as acknowledging<br />

that he/she has read it. Such signature shall not constitute agreement with<br />

the evaluation.<br />

RECORDS AND FORMS<br />

Attendance Records<br />

The Employer shall maintain accurate, daily attendance records. Employees whose<br />

work locations do not have a time clock shall keep daily time records on forms provided<br />

by the Employer. Employees shall be provided with a copy of the completed time<br />

record, if requested. An employee shall have the right to review his/her time and pay<br />
