Section 23.2<br />
Damage to Personal Property<br />
Upon proper documentation submitted to an employee's supervisor, an employee,<br />
who, through no fault of his/her own, suffers the damage or destruction of any personal<br />
property in the line of duty, shall be reimbursed for the cost of such damage or destruction.<br />
Section 23.3 Communicable Diseases<br />
If, as a result of work related responsibilities, an employee is exposed to communicable<br />
disease(s) that pose(s) a serious and/or long-term health hazard, the Employer<br />
shall, upon request, offer tests for such at no cost to the employee. Either employee(s)<br />
and/or Employer shall notify the other of exposure or existence of such disease upon<br />
learning of such.<br />
Section 23.4 Medical Treatment/Therapy<br />
Any employee who is undergoing treatment or therapy recommended by a licensed<br />
medical provider for a work related injury or illness shall be compensated at his/her<br />
regular straight time hourly rate of pay if such treatment or therapy is conducted during<br />
the employee’s normal working hours. Provided, however, that the employee shall<br />
make every effort to schedule such treatment or therapy sessions at such time as would<br />
not interfere with his/her work schedule whenever practical.<br />
Section 23.5 Reporting Injuries<br />
Any employee who receives, or suffers, any injury during business hours while<br />
performing their official duties shall report such injury within three (3) business days<br />
on approved County reporting forms. Such notification will be made first to their direct<br />
supervisor, and then to the Administrative Assistant to the Deputy Chief.<br />
ARTICLE XXIV<br />
MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS<br />
Section 24.1 Secondary Employment<br />
All employees shall notify their immediate supervisor of their intent to obtain secondary<br />
employment. Such notification shall be on a form agreed to by the parties, and<br />
shall include the name of the potential employer and the position involved. The employee<br />
shall be notified in writing within two (2) days by the supervisor of any request<br />
to the <strong>Circuit</strong> <strong>Clerk</strong> for an opinion as to the existence of a conflict of interest with court<br />
employment. If a conflict is found, the Employer shall promptly notify the Employee<br />
of the opinion and the Employer may thereafter restrict or prohibit such secondary employment.<br />
Section 24.2 Bulletin Boards<br />
The Employer agrees to provide the space on existing bulletin boards currently<br />
being utilized by the Union to post information pursuant to this Section, or equivalent<br />
wall space.<br />
