SPANISH WINES
Spain has seen a consistant improvement in quality, over the past few years,
from regions such as Toro, Rioja, Jumilla and La Mancha. We particularly
recommend our Oristan Reserva from La Mancha and the excellent new
Campo Castillo wines from the Campo de Borja region which offer wonderful
value. Our range of Rioja from Bodegas Carlos Serres in Haro has proved
really popular. Carlos Serres was the first Rioja Bodega to export wine from
the region in 1896. Traditional methods are used to produce the Carlos Serres
range and the wines have an excellent balance of fruit and subtle oak flavours.

100% Tempranillo from vineyards around Haro. Maroon in colour with fresh aromas of
black fruits. The taste has intense fruit flavours and soft tannins typical of unoaked Rioja.
Drink with: delicious on its own or with light flavoured dishes. ££

100% Tempranillo from vineyards around the Haro area with vines that are 50+ years old.

It is aged in American & French oak fo 8 months. It has aromas of liquorice and berry fruit
on the nose and rich fruit on the palate with vanilla notes from the oak.
Drink with: grilled vegetables, pasta & pulses. ££

65% Tempranillo and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in barrels for 12 months.

A very complex wine with delicious flavours of black fruit, oak and chocolate on the palate.
Great concentration and length of flavour.
Drink with: perfect with roast chicken or grilled lamb. ££

85% Tempranillo and 15% Garnacha. Aged for 14 months in American and
French oak and then 6 months in bottle. Aromas of mature red fruit and spice.
The taste is complex, well structured with good fruit concentration.
Drink with: versatile wine will drink well with fried fish, red & white meats and cheeses. ££

90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano. Aged 24 months in both American and
French oak and then 12 months in bottle. Aromas of black fruit, toffee and balsamic.
A silky wine with rich fruit character balanced with vanilla oak flavours.

85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano & 5% Mazuelo. Aged 36 months in American and French oak
and 36 months in barrel. Complex aromas on the nose. The taste has ripe black fruit, vanilla and
cinnamon spice. Velvety wine with excellent balance and length.

Attractive ruby red in appearance with a fresh, fruity bouquet of raspberries
and cherries with a soft touch of vanilla and spice. Pleasantly full in the mouth
with well defined but smooth tannins, good concentration and a fleshy finish.
Drink with: drinks well with grilled lamb or dried Spanish ham. £££

Deep ruby red in appearance, the bouquet is elegant with rich cherry and raspberry
fruit aromas and a touch of fine oak. The palate is full and fleshy with well balanced,
