WINEMAKER PROFILE DAVID GONZALEZ ENOLOGIST SANTA ALICIA, CHILE David Gonzalez has been dedicated to the wine industry for the last 39 years. He began as a wine maker assistant at Chiles largest wine making company, Concha y Toro and worked in several areas in the same company which gave him a wide experience in the whole winemaking process; grape growing, vineyard management, cellaring, quality control, laboratory, bottling process, and so on. Davids philosophy as a winemaker is to pay careful attention to every link in the production chain. First, the selection of the right vines, the planting, cultivation, and all the work involved in the vineyards. He has participated in harvests of different types of wineries in California, Argentina and Chile. His long experience in the wine process reflects in great quality wine - for you to enjoy. 44

This wine is made from the Carmenere grape variety and shows warm plum and damson fruit flavours and s hint of chocolate. It has good length of flavour and good structure. Screwcap Drink with: perfect with rich meat dishes such as Moussaka or Lasagna. ££ 150172 Concha y Toro Explorer Pinot Noir 2007/09 14.5% 75cl C BIN END Classy Pinot Noir from Concha y Toro vineyards in the Casablanca Valley. The wine is fermented in open topped vats and then aged in French oak barrels for 3 months. The taste has has strawberry and raspberry fruit character with hints of toasty oak.
