• The installation contractor is responsible for accepting delivery and storage of material<br />
furnished by other contractor(s), in accordance with the requirements of the contract. The<br />
installation contractor must furnish and install all ancillary components to provide complete<br />
installation for proper operation of equipment and material.<br />
Question (9): Who furnishes and installs smart boards?<br />
Answer (9):<br />
Smart boards shall be furnished and installed by the Electrical Contractor. See Specialty<br />
Equipment Schedule on Drawings A>401.00, A>402.00, A>403.00, A>404.00, and A>407.00.<br />
Question (10): Spec Section 013529 Note 11 – Does GC provide watchmen service?<br />
Answer (10): The General Contractor shall provide security services for the <strong>STV</strong> Construction Field Office<br />
and Equipment. The General Contractor is also responsible for the security of the work site and<br />
to provide suitable site protection to prevent unauthorized entry onto the site, until final<br />
acceptance by CUNY, in accordance with contract requirements.<br />
Question (11): Spec Section 015100>2E – Where can we place temp toilets?<br />
Answer (11): Queens College will provide an area on campus outside the Science Building for the General<br />
Contractor to locate temporary toilets.<br />
Question (12): Spec Sect 05100>3H – Is temp fence required?<br />
Answer (12): Temporary fencing is not required.<br />
Question (13): Spec Sect 011116>11 2.2 a>1 calls for temp barricades. Please provide locations where these<br />
barricades are to be constructed.<br />
Answer (13): Temporary construction barricades are required in the corridors adjacent to the entrances of the<br />
laboratories within the scope of work for this project. General Contractor shall comply with<br />
Section 011116 of the General Requirements for design of the temporary construction barricade.<br />
Question (14): Spec Sect 011116>9 1.9 – Note 9 calls for masonite protection of floors. Can this protection be<br />
left in place or must it be picked up and reinstalled on daily basis?<br />
Answer (14): The General Contractor is permitted to leave protection in place as long as it is maintained on a<br />
daily basis, presents no tripping hazard, and does not obstruct doors or create any type of access<br />
issues, in accordance with the contract General Requirements.<br />
