The written examination is derived from a pool of 200-300 questions that are reviewed and approved by the ASNT T/IR committee members. During training, practical exams are conducted through classroom experiments and are focused on one particular concept, such as transient thermal heat transfer. The actual practical exam is determined by the trainer and is conducted within the guidelines for each particular level.
