VCE (VET)CHILDREN’S SERVICES-CERTIFICATE 111 (CHC30708)VCE Credit: 10% increment is available for contribution towards the ATAR.ProgramThis course offers basic training for people who are seeking to work with more qualified staff in providingeducation programs and quality care for babies and children.The Certificate trains students for centre-based, out of school hours, family day care and nanny roles, and caringfor infants and children p to <strong>12</strong> years. Skills learned at the certificate III level include basic knowledge, trainingand understanding of child development and how to foster and support the emotional and educational wellbeingof infants and children.Structured Workplace Learning (SWL)Students are required to have 2 work placements of 16 and 17 days duration. These work placements will bearranged by Chisholm Institute Children’s Services staff.Special RequirementsThe Children’s Services department has indicated they may wish to interview students as part of their selectionprocess.
