VCE (VET)APPLIED FASHION DESIGNAND TECHNOLOGY-CERTIFICATE II (LMT21707)Units 1-4 sequence. 10% increment available for contribution towards the ATAR.ProgramThe VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program aims to:• provide participants with the knowledge and skills to achieve competencies that will enhance theiremployment prospects in the fashion, clothing and related industries;• enable participants to gain a recognised credential and make a more informed choice of vocation andcareer paths.The main focus of this program is the design and sewing of clothing products.Training and Employment OutcomesThe program aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to achieve competencies that will enhancetheir employment prospects in the clothing or clothing related industries.Recognition within the VCALThe VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program is available for students who are enrolled in theVCAL.The contribution of the VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program to a student’s VCALprogram is determined by the number of units of competence successfully completed. When a student has beenassessed as competent in units of competence totalling 100 nominal hours, this will contribute one VCAL unittowards satisfactory completion of the VCAL.The VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program will satisfy the eligibility requirement for theIndustry Specific Skills and Work Related Skills strands.Day / Time / VenueElisabeth Murdoch College – Wednesday, 1:30pm – 4:30pm or Monday, 4pm – 7pm (1st and 2nd Year)Dromana Secondary College – Wednesday, 2pm – 5pm (1st Year)94
