I don’t knowwhether they are trained to deal with asylum seekers.If the officer is rude, I walk away because it reminds me of howI was mistreated in my country. The look they give you sometimesis so full of hate. Here you are not supposed to expressyour feelings. If I do, I’m afraid they will send me to segregation…Iwish they would not cage people, or that I would besomewhere where I could see the grass.Support from her lawyer and her religious faith helped her cope.After five months, she was granted asylum and released.
