GUIDELINES ON THE INITIAL SUBMISSION- For <strong>Quality</strong> <strong>Award</strong> Applicants -4.1 CONTENTThe Initial Submission should include:• Summary of how your organization addresses the Seven Criteria, namely, Leadership;Strategic Planning; Customer Focus; Measurement, Analysis, and Knowledge<strong>Management</strong>; Workforce Focus; Process <strong>Management</strong>; and Results in your qualityprogramme.• Areas for Improvement in your organization according to the Seven Criteria.For a full description of the seven criteria, please refer to Section IV “<strong>Award</strong> Criteria in Detail”.Word Limit:- 200 words or less for each criterion, plus 200 words or less for “Area for Improvement”4.2 FORMATThe Initial Submission should be formatted as follows:- Typed on standard A4-size paper- Single-lined spacing- Minimum font size of 10 points- Presented in bullet-point or essay format- Start on a new page when addressing different criteriaPlease send 10 identical copies of the application form together with your Initial Submissionto:The <strong>Quality</strong> <strong>Award</strong> SecretariatThe <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Association16/F Tower B Southmark11 Yip Hing StreetWong Chuk HangHONG KONG4.3 PROCESSINGAll information and documents supplied by the <strong>Award</strong> applicants will be held in strictconfidence.
