Our standard probes -also called half-bridge probes - are electronic andrequire no adjustment.Countless MeasuringCapabilitiesAll Brown & Sharpe/TESA electronic probes caneither be used with hand-held internal and externalmeasuring instruments or in conjunction withmeasuring stands and other typical measuringdevices. Brown & Sharpe offers axial probes withlinear displacement of the measuring bolt, angledprobes with inclinable lever, or probes with parallelguiding that are specially designed for multigagingdevices and other equipment for inprocessinspection.These probes are primarily used for making comparativemeasurements, based on a master standard,which is typically a gage block orsetting ring.• Random errors are significantly reduced as displaysetting and all subsequent measurementsare usually made under the sameconditions.• Brown & Sharpe measuring instruments areprovided with an analog and/or digital displaydepending on their type.• Signal processing can be made with positive ornegative polarity signs. The use of onesingle probe enables single measurements ofinternal or external dimensions while the use oftwo probes produces either a sum measurementor a difference measurement.• The ability to store values provides a level ofsecurity while taking dynamic measurements.The smallest or highest value as well as the differencebetween both values are examples ofthe part features that are questioned whencapturing form and position errors.• Limit deviations are used to classify the measuredvalues.
