A uniquecone-generated movement eliminates wear problems common to tools with acutely angled arms. TheINTRIMIK ® “capa µsystem ® ”series is designed to meet the tight tolerances that internal measurementsrequire, without complicated setups and excessive operator training. A three-point measuring systemmakes the tool self-centering and self-aligning, for consistently accurate measurements every time -even when different users are involved. The three measuring bolts are spaced 120 degrees apart foroptimum self-centering.Advantage of 3-line contactSelf-centering and self-aligninginternal measuring instrumentsmake bore measurement reliableand consistent from measurementto measurement and user to user. The 3 measuringbolts spaced 120°apart provide optimumself-centering.Line contact of the 3 measuring bolts allowsthe instrument to align itself parallel to thecontact surfaces.? ? ? ?A single measuringinstrument can replacehundreds of plug gagesUnlike plug gages that check only onetolerated size, a single instrument canmeasure many diameters. Dependingon the model that is being used, through bores and blind bores, as wellas short centering shoulders, can bemeasured reliably.2-point contact measuring instruments arenot self-centering. To make bore measurementeasier, auxiliary means will additionallybe used.2-point contactdoes not allow theinstrument to alignitself in relation tothe bore axis.Establishing form errorsForm errors are established by measurementsmade at several points onthe bore.Measuring instruments with 3-linecontact determine run-out errors ina triangular way.Measuring instruments with 2-pointcontact measure medium-size diametersonly. They do not allow the userto differentiate diameters measured atvarious points.D max. D min. D DC-2Rapp Industrial Sales888 789-7277
