14From Our ParishesВІСНИКтравень 2011Visit of His Grace Bishop Ilarion to Two HillsParochial DistrictThe Two Hills & Parochial DistrictUkrainian Orthodox Parish washonoured by a Hierarchical visitfrom His Grace Ilarion Bishop ofthe Ukrainian Orthodox Church ofCa nada, Western Eparchy on Sunday,Oc tober 24th, 2010. The visitationtook place at the Two Hills U.O.C. ofHoly Trinity and started with the officialgreeting of the Bishop by ParochialDistrict President Carole Myshaniukand Parish Priest Fr. Wasyl Sapiha. Bi -shop Ilarion was welcomed with a traditionalkolach and salt by PresidentCarole. De eyana Baydala presented HisGrace with a bouquet of red roses. Bi -shop Ilarion was then escorted to theAltar by children: Megan and BraydenKere liuk, Taylor Raddish, Kristen Ma -io r ana, Maria Fedorouk and DeeyanaBay dala.The Divine Liturgy was served byHis Grace Bishop Ilarion, Fr. Wasyl andassisted by Deacon Anthony Lakus ta,Protodeacon Gary Boychuk, along withSub-Deacon Jim Kapustinski. Re s -pons es were sung by the Two Hills andParochial District Church choir underthe leadership of Cantor Steve Orleski.Terry and Tim Baydala, Allan Hoholand Carole Myshaniuk assisted thecan t or. Altar boys were Alex Fedo rouk,Marko Baydala and Jordan Poli schuk.The Thanksgiving service was fol lowedby the blessing of the Thanks giv ingBasket pre pared by Olga Chrap ko.After the service, all guests and par -ishioners were treated to a deliciousThanksgiving Dinner at the Two HillsSeniors Centre. We honoured our mem -ber's children with scholarshipsand congratulations. The children werecognized attended Ukrain ian Sum -mer Camp "Plast" during July/August2010 and students who took Ukrainiancredit courses during the 2010 schoolyear. This year we recognized sevenchildren. St. Michael's is very proud ofour students and their achie vementsand we encourage them to continuewith their Ukrainian studies. The sevenstudents were: Katherine Mayba whocompleted level 20 Ukrainian creditfrom Uni ver s ity of Saskatoon; Marysaand Ju lian Fosty, Alexander and An -drew May ba, Mykola and Danylo Krukwho attended Ukrainian SummerCamp. Св. Миколай came infor the program and sat on stage listeningto the children. He spoke to thechildren about St. Nicholas's visit tochildren. Bags were prepared for eachchild in our parish. Each bag had аname and Katherine Mayba called eachchild up to meet St. Nicholas.
