While polystyrene does not normally offer high‑impact resistance, the BD Falcon TufRol Roller Bottle is manufactured using a proprietary manufacturing process that provides good impact resistance. This inherent high‑strength feature reduces the risk of messy spills and loss of precious contents during accidental mishandling. Roller bottles are used in both research and manufacturing applications involving the scale‑up of mammalian cells for purposes of virus propagation and bioproduct production.
