Formulation:<br />

Dulbecco’s Modified Eagles’ Medium with 50 µg/ml gentamycin.<br />

<strong>BD</strong> Matrigel Matrix is compatible with all culture media.<br />

Quality control:<br />

• <strong>BD</strong> BioCoat Matrigel Matrix Cellware is tested for ability<br />

to promote neurite outgrowth from chick dorsal root<br />

ganglia (in the absence of NGF)<br />

• Tested and found negative for bacteria and fungi<br />

storage and stability:<br />

<strong>BD</strong> BioCoat Matrigel Matrix Cellware is stable for at least three<br />

months at –20°C. Keep frozen until use. <strong>BD</strong> BioCoat Matrigel<br />

Matrix Cellware, thin layer is stable for at least three months at<br />

2-8°C.<br />

SPECIAL HANDLING: Store<br />

<strong>BD</strong> BioCoat Matrigel Matrix<br />

Cellware at –20°C, thaw at 4°C<br />

overnight . Do not thaw in a<br />

warm waterbath . Plates must<br />

be thawed on a level surface<br />

in order for the <strong>BD</strong> BioCoat<br />

Matrigel Matrix to be evenly<br />

distributed . To form a stable<br />

gel, place the thawed plate at<br />

35-37°C for 30 minutes . Do not<br />

refreeze plates .<br />

Recover cells cultured on<br />

<strong>BD</strong> BioCoat Matrigel Matrix with<br />

<strong>BD</strong> Dispase (Cat . No . 354235) or<br />

<strong>BD</strong> Cell Recovery Solution (Cat . No .<br />

354253) .<br />
