DB SCHENKERparcelNSAB 2000 and Terms & Conditions of Transport:All transport is performed according to the DB <strong>Schenker</strong>Terms and Conditions of Transport and the GeneralConditions for Transport, Forwarding and Warehousing ofthe Nordic Association of Freight Forwarders (NSAB 2000).For domestic parcel consignments DB <strong>Schenker</strong> assumesextended responsibility for damage or loss up to theconfirmed value, although limited to SEK 50,000 perdelivery from one or several consignors to the sameconsignee on the same occasion.Brochures etc. on DB <strong>Schenker</strong>'s website: The brochuresand other material referred to in the text are also availableas pdf files on our website www.dbschenker.com/seOptions & Supplementary services and chargesOPTIONDESCRIPTIONNotificationWhen notification is requested TO BE NOTIFIED must be written in capital letters on the transportdocument/STL label. The consignee's daytime telephone number must be given. If this information ismissing, the consignee is notified by letter. A charge is made for notification even when the consignor hasprovided incomplete delivery details. Extra delivery time is required for consignments that are to be notified.Following agreement, and on payment of an extra charge, a text message can be sent as notification of animpending delivery on condition that the consigning customer has issued advance notification of this via EDI.CODThe COD amount and the bank giro number should be written in the relevant box on the transportdocument/STL label. All parcels in the consignment must be marked COD. Extra delivery time maybe necessary as COD consignments are notified. The notification charge is included in the price.Top10/ExpressDelivery to your customer before 10.00 on the first working day after collection. DB SCHENKERparcelWorldIt is now just as easy to send parcels anywhere in the world as it is in Sweden. We offer a globalparcel network providing simple, secure transport for you and your customers.The specific conditions that apply to DB SCHENKERparcelWorld are shown below.Weight: Single parcel maximum 30 kg.Single consignment maximum 99 kg.Volume: The maximum dimensions per parcel are:Length 2 m. Length + circumference 3 m.Volume limit per consignment 0.4 m 3 (1 m 3 = 280 kg).Multi-parcel consignments: The possibility of minimisingthe cost when several parcels are destined for the sameconsignee on the same day. The minimum freightcalculation weight is 20 kg. Unlimited number of parcelsper consignment.Freight calculation: Zone pricing is applied both for singleparcels and multi-parcel consignments.Timetable: The timetable shows the countries in which weoperate around the world (see table on pages 10–11). Fordistribution of larger consignments and to countries otherthan those listed in the timetable, contact the DB <strong>Schenker</strong>Air & Ocean Division.Distribution: The transport times stated in the Zonedivision on pages 10–11, apply from Swedish postcodeareas 10000–61999 and 63000–79999. From otherpostcode areas, there is one (1) extra transport day.Exceptions: It is not possible to transport to countriessubject to an embargo or other international trade barrier.Updated information regarding unlisted countries isavailable from your local DB <strong>Schenker</strong> office.Terms and Conditions of Transport: The WarsawConvention applies to international parcel consignmentsoutside Europe (for a definition of DB SCHENKERparcelEurope, see next page). In the event of damaged or lostparcels, the maximum compensation payable under theWarsaw Convention for goods affected is 19 SDR/kg(approximately SEK 190/kg).Extra goods insurance: If the value of the consignmentexceeds the compensation level according to the WarsawConvention, it is recommended that extra goods insurancebe taken out through DB <strong>Schenker</strong> in conjunction withbooking.Service restrictions: The highest permitted value perparcel is USD 50,000 or the equivalent amount in localcurrency. The highest permitted value or declared valueper parcel for watches and jewellery (with the exceptionof trinkets 1 ) is USD 500 or the equivalent amount in localcurrency.COD – Cash On Delivery is not available. If there is deliveryinformation about COD on the parcel note or transportdocument this is not regarded as an instruction to collectCOD amounts in those cases where the consignee is outsideSweden.Customs clearance: Routine customs clearance is carriedout at no extra charge. DB SCHENKERparcelLogistics PackageThis service is aimed at companies with extensive goods flows and special requirements for rationalparcel management. Each parcel is picked individually and itemised according to consignee and invoicedate. You transfer information to us by EDI and we make one or more collections from your premiseson the same day and put the parcel together for the consignee. All you need to do is to fill in thetransport document. We take care of the rest.The specific conditions that apply to Logistics Package areshown below. DB SCHENKERprivpakDeliveries to private personsDB SCHENKERprivpak offers three differentdelivery alternatives to private persons and smallcompanies – via a Service Point, to the person'shome or to the person's place of work. With DBSCHENKERprivpak the consignee can choosewhere the delivery is to be made.General terms and conditions applicable to deliveries toprivate persons.Input, registration and booking: A transport agreementwith agreement prerequisites must be signed.DB <strong>Schenker</strong> must receive an EDI file from the consignorcontaining all the necessary details.If EDI is not received by DB <strong>Schenker</strong> in conjunction withregistration at the terminal, further processing isdiscontinued until correct EDI is received.Use a TA system approved by us. This ensures that the EDIand transport document requirements are satisfied.TA system providers: There are functional differencesbetween the TA systems recommended by DB <strong>Schenker</strong>.For specific information about each TA system, contactthe TA provider or DB <strong>Schenker</strong>'s local EDI representatives.See www.dbschenker.com/se under certified TA providers.Parcel Service Points are mainly located where people liveor work. Parcels are collected by the consignee at oneof the approximately 1,600 DB <strong>Schenker</strong> Privpak parcelService Points. The service offers flexibility regarding whenand where the parcel can be collected. It could be from theparcel Service Point near your place of work or perhaps theone near your house in the country – you decide. Theservice is ideal for e-business/mail-order customers wheresimplicity in handing returns and COD is an obviouselement.There could be local deviations. For sparsely populatedlocations the distance is greater to the nearest parcelService Point. A list of parcel Service Points can be foundat www.schenkerprivpak.se >parcel service points.Notification: Notification takes place by text message,e-mail, letter or telephone. The choice of notificationmethod could differ from one service to another. Forfurther information see the respective service on thefollowing pages.Collection: Parcels are collected according to a fixedcollection arrangement or by booking at the nearestDB <strong>Schenker</strong> office. Thecost is shown in the agreed price list.The return flow leaves the parcel Collection Points on eachday stated in the timetable although with extra lead timefor handling returned parcels.Supplementary conditions: All goods must be packed sothat they can withstand normal machine sorting.
