BEACH GROVE GOLF CLUB DRESS CODE“A club that is always looking forward <strong>to</strong> the needsof its members while respecting and never forgettingthe traditions and contributions of the past.”The dress code at <strong>Beach</strong> <strong>Grove</strong> <strong>Golf</strong> <strong>Club</strong> is founded on the above Value Statementand on the belief of RESPECT for fellow members, guests and staff.GOLF COURSEMALESPermittedAppropriate golf attire <strong>to</strong> include:• All shirts must have sleeves and collars and can be turtlenecks and mock turtlenecks• Tailored pants, slacks and shorts• <strong>Golf</strong> hats are <strong>to</strong> be worn with the peak forwardNot Permitted• Tennis shorts, sweat pants, cut-offs, t-shirts, tank <strong>to</strong>ps, shirts with slogans, numbersor illustrations, headgear with logos(except golf and sports related insignia)FEMALESPermittedAppropriate golf attire <strong>to</strong> include:• Tailored pants, slacks, Capri Pants, golf skirts and shorts• Shirts with collars, turtlenecks, mock turtlenecks, round neck shirts with sleevesand collared shirts that are sleevelessNot Permitted• T-shirts, tank and bare midriff <strong>to</strong>ps, see through shirts, halter <strong>to</strong>ps, warm-up suits andspandex style cycling, exercise or yoga shorts, leggings, tennis shorts or tennis skirtsALL NOT PERMITTED• Denim, of any type, on the golf Course• Metal spikes on golf shoesCLUB HOUSEPermitted• All clothing items permitted on the golf course. Women may wear sleeveless <strong>to</strong>ps/dresses without collars• Smart casual dress attire including denim pants onlyNot Permitted• <strong>Golf</strong> shoes in the upstairs areas• Clothing items that are ripped, <strong>to</strong>rn, stained or acid-washed• All headgear, including hats and visors in the upstairs areas.WIRELESS DEVICESGOLF COURSEThe use of wireless devices interferes with the gameof golf, therefore while on the course, all such devicesshould be in the silent/vibrate mode.CLUBHOUSEThe use of cellular phones for verbal communication anduse of lap<strong>to</strong>p computers are not permitted in any of thepublic dining areas, including the BistroAt all times, when using electronic devices, considerationmust be given <strong>to</strong> fellow members, guests and staff.PRACTICE GREENSThe Practice Greens are designated as follows:Large Green near <strong>Club</strong>house – Putting onlySmaller Green near <strong>Club</strong>house – Chipping greenGreen near 10th Tee – Putting and Chipping allowedChipping balls are provided at green near the clubhouse; at no time are you <strong>to</strong> hit ballsfrom the chipping area down the fairway spacing near the first tee. Please consider yourfellow members by clearing the green of balls upon completion of practice.Practice Facility:The operation of the Practice Range is dependant on weather conditions and seasonaldaylight. The Opening and Closing of the Range on a daily basis is seasonally adjusted bydarkness. Seasonal hours will be posted at the <strong>Golf</strong> Shop and throughout the <strong>Club</strong>house.Practice Facility hours of operationGenerally, the range will open daily 1 /2 hour before the first tee time of the day, and willclose 1 hour before darkness.Weekly tee maintenanceIn peak season the range will be maintained on Tuesday and Friday mornings.Grass or Mats??Grass Tee will be open as growing and turf conditions allow.When playing conditions allow grass tees:• Hit only from the designated teeing area on a daily basis. The area of the grass tee thatis in play will be clearly marked.• It is essential <strong>to</strong> properly manage the turf; players are <strong>to</strong> practice only from within themarked area.• Consider that practice balls are only for use around the practice areas, not for play onthe golf course.• Exercise safe use of practice facilities at all times, with regard <strong>to</strong> yourself and othersthat may be using or maintaining the range.• If or when you hear ringing of one of the bells located on the 10th or 18th holes, ensureyou s<strong>to</strong>p hitting balls immediately <strong>to</strong> allow the golfer <strong>to</strong> retrieve his or her errant ballfrom the practice area.Mats will be open:• When grass tees are <strong>to</strong>o wet <strong>to</strong> avoid excessive damage.• When growing / range conditions do not allow play from the grassPlease refrain from hitting on grass when the Mats are open. This is for your own safetyand will allow the tee <strong>to</strong> recover during the maintenance period.2011 GOLF CART & PRACTICE RANGE FEES<strong>Golf</strong> Cart Fees9 Holes $16.00 including H.S.T.18 Holes $32.00 including H.S.T.20 ride contract $532.00 including H.S.T.40 ride contract $946.00 including H.S.T.60 ride contract $1327.20 including H.S.T.Please assist <strong>to</strong> preserve our <strong>Golf</strong> Cart Fleet by:1) Allowing a MAXIMUM of Two (2) rider per cart2) Driving with “Due Care and Attention”3) No standing on the back of the cart4) Avoiding all curbs and other stationery objectsNote: The 20, 40 and 60 ride contracts are available throughout the season at the <strong>Golf</strong> Shop. All contracts are available for nine holesalso (40 ride = 80 – 9 hole rides). In the event you utilize 2 – 60 ride contracts in one calendar year, your cart usage will be FREE forthe remainder of that year. All daily and contract cart users are <strong>to</strong> sign waiver form prior <strong>to</strong> usage. Please see <strong>Golf</strong> Shop for details.** Remember you are responsible for all damage <strong>to</strong> golf cars while they are in your care!Practice Range FeesSmall$4.50 including H.S.T.Medium$5.50 including H.S.T.Large$6.50 including H.S.T.Contract – Single $336.00 including H.S.T.Contract – Mr. & Mrs $420.00 including H.S.T.Contract – Juniors $280.00 including H.S.T.The use of practice facilities are restricted <strong>to</strong> the members of <strong>Beach</strong> <strong>Grove</strong> <strong>Golf</strong> <strong>Club</strong> and their guests (who have paid a green fee inthe <strong>Golf</strong> Shop). The guest rate for use of the practice range is the cost of the golf balls used. Please note: personal range contractdoes not cover guest’s range balls.Practice Facility hours of operation will be determined by the hours of daylight and course conditions. The Practice Facility closesone hour before dark daily. Special events affecting the hours of operation will be posted by the <strong>Golf</strong> Shop staff.Important Notice <strong>to</strong> Practice Range UsersDriving Range users please be aware of fellow players on holes number 18 and 10 as errant balls from the range can stray <strong>to</strong> these“in play” areas. Calling attention <strong>to</strong> an errant shot by yelling FORE is your responsibility and is also the expectation of your fellowgolfers. Also please note that the practice range is considered in bounds for players. Please give way <strong>to</strong> any player whose ball lies inthe driving range area. There are notice bells situated on the perimeter of the driving range that should be rung if entering the activepractice range <strong>to</strong> retrieve your ball. Always err on the side of caution.22 23
