HOLE-IN-ONE POLICYThe following benefits are provided <strong>to</strong> the insured Members when theyscore a Hole-in-One at <strong>Beach</strong> <strong>Grove</strong> <strong>Golf</strong> <strong>Club</strong> or any other recognizedgolf club:• A Bar Credit of $325.00 is established at the facilities at <strong>Beach</strong> <strong>Grove</strong><strong>Golf</strong> <strong>Club</strong>.• A commemorative plaque presented <strong>to</strong> the member from the club.• An invitation <strong>to</strong> the Champions Reception <strong>to</strong> acknowledge theaccomplishmentWhen a Hole-in-One is made (from regulation tees on a regulation sizegolf course), it must be immediately reported <strong>to</strong> the <strong>Golf</strong> Shop uponcompletion of the game or if at an away course as soon as possible with averified scorecard signed by the golf professional of the club.Note: 9 consecutive holes must be completed for the hole in one <strong>to</strong>qualify for the credit.All Hole-in-Ones are funded through the members and will be chargedequally <strong>to</strong> the all adult golfing member’s accounts as required.The <strong>Golf</strong> Shop staff will ensure that the scorecard is properly signed andwitnessed.The <strong>Golf</strong> Shop will advise the Office, make a pho<strong>to</strong>copy of the scorecard,enter it in the files and advise the food and beverage department.The Member who scored the Hole-in-One has the opportunity <strong>to</strong>immediately use their Bar Credit in the facilities at the club. The membermay make a request for an alternate date for service <strong>to</strong> occur no laterthan 90 days following the scoring of the hole in one. Booking of theHole-in-One Credit must be arranged through the Office and will be up <strong>to</strong>the discretion of Management based on availability of the <strong>Club</strong>house andat least 24 hours notice is <strong>to</strong> be given before activation. After 90 days allbar credits will expire.Bar Credits cannot be carried over if not used in their entirety on the dayof redemption. The Bar Credit carries no cash value.The use of the Bar Credit starts when the Member who scored theHole-in-One orders their first drink and is then available <strong>to</strong> all Membersand Guests that are present in the <strong>Club</strong>house at that time except forthose attending a privately booked function.Members and Guests participating in the Hole-in-One may order:• Any one ounce liquor based drink excluding ultra premium brands• Any bottled beer, draft glass or draft pint• Any non-alcoholic drink• Any wine by the glassMembers and Guests participating in the Hole-in-One may not:• Order more than one drink at a time• Order a drink or drinks for later consumption• Order any drinks that contain more than one ounce of liquor• Order bottles of wine, pitchers of beer or any othermultiple serving drinksMAINTENANCEThe Membership at <strong>Beach</strong> <strong>Grove</strong> <strong>Golf</strong><strong>Club</strong> has committed their support forthe practice of regularly scheduledmaintenance of the golf course on selecteddays throughout the active golf season.To maximize efficiency and safety of workand <strong>to</strong> protect the membership from anyhazards, certain maintenance activities willrequire a partial or full day closure.The golf course conditioning and standardswill continue <strong>to</strong> improve with the ongoingcommitment <strong>to</strong> maintenance programs.2011 Maintenance Closures:February 03March 03March 21April 18May 02, 03, 04May 30June 16July 18August 4August 22September 06, 07, 08Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 06November 17until 10:00 amuntil 10:00 amuntil 10:00 amuntil 10:00 amall day aerationuntil 10:00 amuntil 10:00 amuntil 10:00 amuntil 10:00 amuntil 10:00 amall day aerationuntil 10:00 amuntil 10:00 amThe following maintenance activities wouldtypically be performed during the closureperiod:• Application of plant protection products(pesticides), foliar fertilizers or otherproducts requiring adequate drying timeprior <strong>to</strong> the safe re-entry <strong>to</strong> the treatedsite. (legislated)• Vertical mowing and light <strong>to</strong>pdressing ofputting greens• Applications of granular fertilizer <strong>to</strong>greens, tees, or fairways• Bunker edging and sand re-distribution,water hazard service, and other activitiesthat are typically disruptive <strong>to</strong> players• Sprinkler head edging• Contract services – tree works,construction• Preparations for up coming <strong>to</strong>urnaments(<strong>Club</strong> Championships, BG Amateur)• Special project work• Spring and Fall aeration programs(full day closures)Fac<strong>to</strong>rs and influences including weather,turf-grass requirements, time of season,and current projects will determine whichof the above practices will be scheduledfor each closure.
