Whether she is presenting a motivational speech or headlining a comedy club, Juli Burney<br />
is a well-seasoned performer! An award winning teacher, entertainer and author, Juli makes<br />
an amazing connection with her audiences. She is able to entertain with the ability of a<br />
headlining comedian while either motivating or instructing with the ease of a top-notch<br />
motivational speaker. Juli has been recognized by her state as Artist of the Year because<br />
of her ability to help improve people’s lives through humor and the effective use of<br />
communication tools. She has worked in all 48 continental United States and Canada, and<br />
has been commissioned by a variety of associations from the National Endowment of the<br />
Arts to Fortune 500 companies to develop training programs that stick. Juli has filmed for<br />
Showtime and HBO, along with making several guest appearances on radio and television programs.<br />
Her humor is delightful, universal and enlightening with whatever topic she presents.<br />

The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Seminar is a pre-requisite for anyone who would like to be a certified dementia<br />
practitioner with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. The seminar is interactive and covers the<br />
following topics: Introduction to Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, communications, feelings and repetitive behaviors,<br />
wandering, hallucinations, paranoia, aggressive behaviors, pain management and alternatives, cultural issues, activities,<br />
spiritual, sexual, and end of life. Participants must stay the entire day to receive certification for this seminar - and an<br />
application to NCCDP.<br />
Note: This all day seminar should satisfy IDPH requirements for training for certified Alzheimer Units<br />
