changes to increase choices and the quality of meal service are good, that alone does not change the culture in the<br />
facility. This session discusses organizational culture, culture change in long term care and choices to offer. It also<br />
discusses how to balance resident choice with the reality of resident care and facility operations.<br />

In 2010, the National <strong>Association</strong> of Activity Professionals (NAAP) responded to its members’ requests for a new<br />
credentialing option. NAAP worked closely with a group of activity professionals to form a Credentialing Committee<br />
charged with developing new professional standards for certification at two levels: Activity Professional - Board Certified<br />
(AP-BC) and Activity Consultant - Board Certified (AC-BC). This session will assist activity professionals in the process<br />
of becoming Board Certified.<br />
