Forensic MeetSix women debaters - H elen Jeanne Brink,Betty Boles, Evea Harrington , Betty Echternach,E laine Anderson, a nd Doris Mae Holzrepresented<strong>Idaho</strong> in a t riangular meet at WallaWalla on December 4 and 5. And in eightdebates against Washington State and Whitman,the <strong>Idaho</strong> teams won four and lost four.At Pull man on December 12, <strong>Idaho</strong>'s team<strong>of</strong> Dale Greeley and Bill Edmark rolled througha four-debate tournament with three victoriesagainst a lone defeat.On J anuary 15 at Moscow, <strong>Idaho</strong> placedthird in the Inland Empire junior college tournament,behind Washington State and Whitman.Lewiston State Normal was fourth. Thefour schools in the meet entered eighteen teams.<strong>Idaho</strong>'s representatives included Doris MaeHolz. Betty Echternach, Elaine Anderson, EleanorAndrews, Bill Edmark, Dick M inden,Sam Butterfield, Bill Raymond, Evan LaFollette,and Clyde Martin.To close the forensic season, Milton Georgeand Mitch Hunt entered the P acific CoastForensic League meet at Los Angeles. Huntwon first place in the after-dinner speakingdivision, and George was chosen with threeother students to participate in a group radiobroadcast on "What is the role <strong>of</strong> the UnitedStates in post-war reconstruction~ " <strong>Idaho</strong> hasin vi ted the League to meet in Moscow in 1944.127
