Theyare usually generated automatically during the PDF creation. Bookmarks in PDFfiles provide interactive links to a specific destination. The reader just needs toclick on a bookmark to view the page in which the bookmark is linked.Bookmarks are useful for users to mark a place in a PDF file so that users canreturn to it with ease. Or you may like to have your own bookmark structure andnew bookmark names. Now with Foxit Reader, you can easily nest, edit, ordelete bookmarks in a PDF file if the security settings allow.Adding a bookmark1. Go to the page where you want the bookmark to link to. You can also adjustthe view settings.2. Use the Hand Tool to create the bookmark:• To bookmark a portion of a page, adjust the view of the document ifnecessary, and move the portion into the center of the window.• To bookmark selected text, use the Select Text Tool , right-click theselected text and choose Add Bookmark.3. Select the bookmark under which you want to place the new bookmark. If youdon’t select a bookmark, the new bookmark is automatically added at the endof the bookmark list.110
