Hence, year toyear fluctuations in the prices of juterelative to the prices of Aus paddy wouldgenerally influence the relative allocationof land between the two crops.Raw jute is produced mainly in the state ofWest Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Orissa, AndhraPradesh, Tripura and Meghalaya.
