Please order Jandy part number R0467500.This kit contains the second User Interface, wallmounting backplate, and necessary hardware.Section 7. Operating Instructions7.1 Normal OperationThe LXi heater is capable of automatic operationbased on a call for heat at preset temperatures andan operator selection between pool or spa settings.Additionally, the heater may be controlled by a remoteunit to anticipate bather load, changes in temperaturesettings, or a variety of other demands that might beencountered. The heater has an internal safety systemwhich allows operation in a variety of conditions andprevents operation when certain adverse conditions areencountered. The heater is capable of diagnosing problemswithin the safety controls scheme, enabling fasterservice and less down time in the event of a failure. When the heater is powered, water is flowingthrough the heater, and the temperature of the waterentering the heater is below the temperature controlsetting, an operating cycle is initiated by the automaticcontrol. The combustion blower is started. If theblower pressure switch senses adequate airflow, the ignitionsequence starts. First, a fifteen second pre-purgetakes place. Next, the igniter is energized. After 40seconds of igniter heat-up time the gas valve is opened(approximately one minute after the call for heat). Ifflame is sensed at the burner within seven seconds, operation continues. Operation will continue until thetemperature of the water entering the heater reachesthe temperature control setting. If ignition is unsuccessful, or if the flame failsduring normal operation, the ignition control shuts offthe gas valve. It imposes a post purge, initiates additionalignition cycles, and shuts down the system ifignition is not achieved in three cycles. After one hour, the system will restart and try again. To reset the LXi heater to provide three (3) additionalattempts without waiting an hour, turn off thecontrol and then put it back in either the Pool or Spamode.7.2 Start-UpWARNINGFor your safety, when starting the heater, keep yourhead and face well away from the burner area toprevent any risk of personal injury.AVERTISSEMENTPour votre sécurité personnelle lorsque vous mettezl’appareil en marche, tenez votre tête et votre visageloin du brûleur pour éviter tout risque de blessure.
