Chapter dig Description Usage Batch Format Look up a record on a DNS server Commit: This command does not require a ‘commit’. Cluster Management: This command can be used in all three machine modes (cluster, group, machine). Batch Command: This command supports a batch format. The batch format of the dig command can be used to perform all the fuctions of the traditional CLI command. Look up a record on a DNS server dig [options] [@] [qtype] Do a reverse lookup for given IP address on a DNS server dig -x [options] [@] These are the options available for the dig command’s batch format -s Specify the source IP address. -t Make query over TCP. -u Make query over UDP (default).
