The Cisco <strong>IronPort</strong> AsyncOS 7.6 <strong>CLI</strong> Reference Guide provides detail listings and<br />

examples for use of the AsyncOS command line interface on the <strong>IronPort</strong> Email<br />

Security appliance. These instructions are designed for an experienced system<br />

administrator with knowledge of networking and email administration.<br />

Before you Read this Book<br />

Documentation Set<br />

This <strong>guide</strong> assumes that you have already installed and configured your <strong>IronPort</strong><br />

appliance. You should also be familiar with the Cisco <strong>IronPort</strong> AsyncOS<br />

Configuration Guide, Cisco <strong>IronPort</strong> AsyncOS Advanced Configuration Guide,<br />

and Cisco <strong>IronPort</strong> AsyncOS Daily Management Guide.<br />

Note If you have already cabled your appliance to your network, ensure that the default<br />

IP address for the <strong>IronPort</strong> appliance does not conflict with other IP addresses on<br />

your network. The IP address assigned to the Management port by the factory is<br />

192.168.42.42. See to Chapter 3, “Setup and Installation,” in the Cisco <strong>IronPort</strong><br />

AsyncOS Configuration Guide for more information about assigning IP addresses<br />

to the <strong>IronPort</strong> appliance.<br />
