Thepicture is homogenous across all sub-sectors, firm sizes <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> US. The exceptionsare that only 17% of food stores report that competition has significantly <strong>in</strong>creased due to<strong>ICT</strong> <strong>and</strong> 78% of food stores th<strong>in</strong>k that competition has somewhat <strong>in</strong>creased. More than10% of firms <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r retail<strong>in</strong>g group <strong>and</strong> 12% of firms <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> US even th<strong>in</strong>k thatcompetition has decreased due to <strong>ICT</strong> (see Exhibit 4.4-4).109
