Install the slidestop.Close the caliper and lock the sliding jaw using screw (7). Place the end of the bar against a parallel and pushthe slide cover plate (1) until the depth rod is against the parallel. Carefully tighten screws (12).Install the dial friction spring (22), and the dial (23). Place the needle (24) on the hand pinion (17) pointing tothe 12 o’clock position. Use the flat side of a small screwdriver to push down to secure the needle on the handpinion.Install the bezel/crystal assembly (31). There are two types of bezel retainers. One is a wire spring (30) andthe other is a rubber o-ring (21). If you have the wire spring, you will need to push the spring under the bezeland work around the outside of the bezel until it pops in place. If you have the rubber o-ring, you can simplyrotate and push the bezel down until it pops in place. Install the bezel lock (28) and lock screw (29). Rotatethe bezel until the zero on the dial lines up with the needle and lock with screw (29).Assembly is complete and calibration can begin.Needle removers:http://www.bergeon.ch/images/news/news_1245309842.pdfNeedle removers are on pages 9 and 10.
