After clickingOK, the spindle will travel to the reference point.A) Creating a Test Piece test file or directory1 Select the Test Icon .Optimar 100 Analog Test Indicator4 The subfolders under the DMAFB PMEL folderwere created using the New function button. Thesesubfolders are grouped according to the “Type” of testpieces to be calibrated such as, “Comparators Analog”,“Dial Indicators Analog”, and “Test IndicatorsAnalog”.2 Select New from the Select Testpiece menuscreen to create a new test file gage name.The test piece file names are organized by “Accuracy”and “Range” to create a general list of test piece filescovering the various gage manufacturers under each“Type” of test indicators.Or, New group to create a directory file folder.3 In the following example, a sub directory folder"DMAFB PMEL" was created using the New groupmenu button under the Gage folder directory.Organizing the file structure using this method minimizesany redundancy in the test files created.5 After selecting New, the Testpiece Data- menuscreen will pop up. Select the desired type of test piece(Dial Test Indicator) from the Object drop downmenu, Standard specifications (ASME B89.1.10M-2001) and System of units measurement (inch or metric).Note: The standard specifications or calibration authorityis TO 33K6-4-889-1 and the specifications willbe configured in the Tolerance menu screen.(Continued on page 31)
