Use infrastructureand government- sponsored incentives at CIDZ andELIDZ to lure targeted large-scale manufacturers toestablish manufacturing plants at the zones.Use spatial developmental initiatives and agency firms tosupport emerging industrialists at municipal level.The Land Affairs office will be engaged to resolve landclaims in the province. There is a request for moreextension officers from the Department of Agriculture(DOA). Identify value-add initiatives and engage theDOA in such projects.The DOA will assist in the resuscitation of the irrigationsystems and dairy schemes in the province.The LRAD financing scheme will assist the existing andpotential beneficiaries of the land reform programme withfunding for development purposes as individuals, <strong>co</strong>operatives,and private equity firms.Upgrade and maintain all infrastructures linked to touristdestinations and prioritize all projects linked to the FIFA2010 World Cup.Ensure public safety and security at key beachfronts.Provide capacity building and support initiatives forexisting and emerging Small to Medium Enterprises(SMMEs) in the tourism business. Develop Art Centresat municipal levels.Market crafts and tourism-focused products. Establishpartnerships with mentor tourism <strong>co</strong>mpanies. Providelearnerships and internships.Explore opportunities in aquaculture along the 800kmlong <strong>co</strong>astline.Use the CIDZ and the ELIDZ to lure aquaculture projectsinto the region.Engage <strong>co</strong>mmunities in growing and protecting trees.Increase the number of forestry plantations in the regionand support the furniture manufacturing sector.
