Prof. Peter Layson, and Dr. NigelHarmse are active researchers from the SBCS, backing up InnoVenton withtheir technical expertise.Dr. Shawn Gouws, a graduate of NMMU and now a researcher atInnoVenton, has established <strong>co</strong>llaborative relationships with the University ofBirmingham (through Dr. Bruno Pollet) on issues relating to membraneassembly in electrode manufacturing. Dr. Shawn Gouws and Prof. Ben Zeelieare part of the Hydrogen Hub South Africa, under the leadership of Prof. JackFletcher from the University of Cape Town.InnoVenton’s clientele portfolio for analytical services currently lists 138small, medium, and large firms including established <strong>co</strong>mpanies such as AspenPharmacare, Bridgestone, Cadbury, Castrol, CSIR, Daimler Chrysler SouthAfrica, Dow Chemicals, Du Pont Barloworld, Dunlop Automotive Products,Eskom, General Motors South Africa, Eveready Batteries, Goodyear SouthAfrica, PetroSA, Sasol Agri, Willard Batteries, and the Wool Testing Bureau.
