CARACAS (regional)COVERING: Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the countries of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM): Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica,Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and TobagoThe Caracas regional delegation was established in 1971. Itreinforces the capacities of the region’s National Societies inthe fields of IHL promotion, restoring family links, emergencyresponse and assistance to victims of violence. It visits securitydetainees in the region and monitors the humanitarian situationalong the Venezuelan border with Colombia.
