EGYPTCOVERING: Egypt, League of Arab StatesThe ICRC has been in Egypt, with some interruptions, since thebeginning of the Second World War. It works closely with theEgyptian Red Crescent Society to help it boost its preparednessto respond to emergency humanitarian needs arising fromsituations of violence, in particular focusing on first-aid care. Itseeks to visit people detained in Egypt.
