Try to get a natural weak pronunciation of unstressed "was", "were", and "for".<br />

week. / It was there for a week. / We were there for a week. / You were there for a week. / They we<br />

there for a week.<br />

Repeat, à la Substitution Drill, with "for two weeks", "in New York", "for a month", "in Ireland", etc.<br />
