OP 17 - SERIAL - Danger at the Dorchester. Episode Two: The Mysterious Passenger
- Let's talk about the Serial. Do you remember the title? / And the title of episode two?
If you do step (1), you can present step (2) as a kind of "reprise" ("OK, let's go over that again…").
If you skip step (1), you can present step (2) directly as a Gapfill exercise.
This whole exercise should be fairly informal, and quick.
(1) Get the students to tell you what happened in this week's thrilling episode.

So… At eight o'clock that morning, Stephen's limousine was waiting for him in front of the hotel. The
chauffeur, Higgins, told him that there was a passenger in the limousine. It was Elizabeth Johnson. She
asked Stephen to do her a favour - one small favour, she said. She wanted to go to Oxford with him.
She knew he had an important appointment there. In fact, she said she knew all about him. Stephen
was very SURPRISED, and a little EMBARRASSED, and a little SUSPICIOUS, but he decided to take her with
him to Oxford.
