Clearinghouse<br />

• Provide a clearinghouse for <strong>Essential</strong> <strong>Skills</strong><br />

– Make available the results of CSC in-house<br />

– Share best practices resulting from CSC<br />

projects and other key stakeholder group<br />

– Make information, tools and resources easily<br />

accessible for use by the industry; and<br />

– Partner with groups who wish to share the<br />

results of their work with the industry.<br />

material, or explain why new development is<br />

Ironworker Aboriginal<br />

Campaign<br />

• Our objectives for this project are to:<br />

– Develop a national ironworker awareness<br />

campaign aimed at Aboriginal youth<br />

– Promote the ironworker trade to Aboriginal<br />

youth and encourage them to get into<br />

ironwork as soon as possible<br />

– Expand the number of skilled Aboriginal<br />

persons in ironwork to meet identified<br />

labour market needs<br />

– Share generic aspects of the campaign<br />

across Canada with other trades facing<br />

shortages<br />
